Residential Pickup
The City of Demoville contracts exclusively with Bluegrass Waste Services for all residential trash and recycling collection within city limits.
Residents are automatically enrolled for trash service when signing up for water and sewer services through the Demoville Utilities Department. The charge for residential trash collection will appear on your monthly utility bill.

Senior Citizen Subsidy for Trash Pickup
Recognizing the financial challenges faced by seniors on fixed incomes, the Demoville City Council has implemented a Senior Citizen Subsidy Program to help offset trash service costs.
Eligible seniors can apply by completing the form here.
Recycling Service
Recycling is picked up every-other-week on the same day as your regular trash service.
Please follow these guidelines:
- Place trash and recycling containers at least 6 feet apart to allow drivers to easily identify materials.
- Clearly mark recycling containers facing the road.

Recycle responsibly:
- Place recycling materials loose in the cart.
- All items must be clean and empty.
Accepted Recyclables:
- Glass bottles and jars
- Aluminum and steel cans
- Plastic bottles and jugs
- Cardboard boxes (flattened)
- Office paper, magazines, junk mail, and newspapers

Holiday Collection Schedule
Residents inside the City of Demoville limits will not experience changes to their trash or recycling collection days during holidays. Service continues on your normal schedule.
Outside City Limits Pickup
Demoville area residents outside city limits receive trash and recycling collection through Bluegrass Waste Services.

Commercial Pickup
All businesses operating within Demoville city limits are required to have active trash service.
Businesses may select their own trash hauler.
