Under the leadership of Fire Chief Darrell Riggins, the City of Demoville is proud to operate a progressive and community-focused fire department dedicated to protecting the lives and property of our residents, businesses, and visitors. Demoville Fire is constantly engaged in training, innovation, and readiness to ensure our personnel are prepared to respond with skill, professionalism, and compassion.
Demoville Fire operates as a combination department. Our team includes a core of career firefighters and officers, alongside a committed roster of volunteer personnel who proudly serve our growing community. Whether responding to emergencies or providing fire prevention education, our firefighters are ready to serve with excellence.
Community Services:
In addition to emergency response, Demoville Fire Department provides the following services to support safety in the home and workplace:

Child Safety Seat Installation Assistance
Certified technicians are available to help properly install and inspect child car seats. -
Smoke Detector Assistance
We offer smoke detector testing support and can assist with installation and battery checks. -
Fire Prevention Education
Our team participates in school visits, fire safety seminars, and community outreach programs to promote emergency preparedness and fire prevention awareness.
Open Burning Regulations:
On April 23, 2022, the Demoville City Council adopted Ordinance 2022-54, establishing regulations for open burning within city limits.
Residents must obtain a valid permit before conducting any open burn.
